Publication Research Analyst (PRA)Job Summary:
The Publication Research Analyst will play a pivotal role in advancing the quality and reach of STM (Science, Technology, and Medicine) journals and digital products. The position focuses on building and nurturing a global network of authors, editors, and reviewers, ensuring seamless collaboration and maintaining high standards in publication workflows. This role demands strategic communication skills, proficiency in modern publication trends, and adaptability to new tools and platforms for academic publishing.
Key Responsibilities:
● Networking and Contributor Engagement:
○ Build and sustain a robust network of authors, editors, and peer reviewers for STM journals and associated projects.
○ Actively engage with contributors using digital tools, such as online forums, email campaigns, and social media platforms like LinkedIn.
● Publication Workflow Management:
○ Manage the onboarding and allocation of tasks for contributors, ensuring adherence to submission timelines.
○ Monitor and enhance quality checks in peer-review processes to align with international publication standards.
● Database Management and Analytics:
○ Maintain a dynamic database of contributors, utilizing analytics to track engagement and optimize recruitment strategies.
○ Use software tools (e.g., Manuscript Management Systems, CRM) to automate repetitive tasks and enhance productivity.
● Trend Monitoring and Content Strategy:
○ Stay updated with global trends in STM publishing, including open-access models, digital libraries, and citation indexing.
○ Collaborate with marketing and editorial teams to develop innovative strategies for increasing journal visibility and impact.
● Performance Reporting:
○ Prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports for the Publications Coordinator, highlighting achievements, challenges, and key metrics.
○ Use data insights to recommend process improvements.
● Collaborative Projects:
○ Assist in the curation and execution of academic and technical books, conference proceedings, and special issue publications.
○ Support initiatives related to the upcoming digital library platform, including author outreach and content acquisition.
